I was into drawing as a kid, asking for 'How To' books for birthdays and holidays; often based around drawing animals. While I always loved art, I knew I was meant to be a Graphic Designer when I realized I could be the person behind the signs, symbols, eye catching packaging and advertisements people were so drawn too. Four years of schooling and a years worth of internships have rounded me into the designer I am today; creative, enthusiastic, passionate and ever learning.
From designing Christmas list presentations as a kid, to co-creating an Art In Odd Places project on my college campus, I have always been creative. The title of my portfolio 'The Hours Before I Sleep' elude to the multiple hours I spend at night, coming up with creative solutions and new ideas as I try to drift off.
When I have a passion for something, I put 110% into that passion. My passion for Lord of The Rings brought me to the top of Mount Doom...despite blisters the size of quarters on my heels, being the only girl in a crew of athletic boys and a 2 hour vertical climb (and yes Mount Doom is halfway across the world in New Zealand).
If I want to understand something I research it. If i'm not being taught it, I seek out a way to learn it. If I don't know the answer, I ask and solve. I love learning from those more experienced than me and applying what I learn to my current and future work. I absorb information like a sponge and am a quick learner.
